History
Our network of welcoming parishes started after the LGBTQ Pilgrimage to Newark in 2017 when Cardinal Joseph Tobin, Archbishop of Newark, welcomed approximately 100 LGBTQ persons and their loved ones to the Newark cathedral basilica. You can read more about the "Miracle of Newark" in this article from the New York Times where it appeared on Page One.
Since then, our parishes have met periodically to learn from each other and to support one another. We welcome more parishes to join us.
